Marketing Director

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and results-driven Marketing leader to help us take the Surya brand to the next level of success.  In this high-visibility role, the Marketing Director will work closely with Surya’s leadership team to identify strategic priorities and build integrated marketing campaigns to support those priorities. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with outstanding analytical skills, excellent business judgment and an ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.


Marketing and Brand Strategy

  • Enhance the positioning and relevance of the Surya brand to drive awareness, competitive differentiation, customer preference, and accelerated revenue growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute a superior omni-channel brand experience (print catalogs, website and showrooms)
  • Work with the Sales team to continuously refine go-to-market plans and create tools that enable the sales team to exceed revenue targets through greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Design and implement key trade marketing initiatives including in-store programs such as displays, signage and POP to grow market share and sales volume
  • Build annual marketing plan and calendar, ensuring all dates and deliverables are met
  • Develop, manage and track all sales promotions



  • Own all internal and external communication efforts,  including content strategy, management, creation and distribution
  • Develop targeted messaging and collateral that describes, differentiates, shows value and addresses sales objections at each stage of the sales cycle and across channels
  • Write creative briefs and direct creative team and external agencies to develop effective print/digital ads and marketing materials
  • Oversee social media, public relations and email marketing campaigns



  • Compile market, competitor, customer and product data to drive business results and ensure that evolving customer needs are addressed
  • Define key metrics and generate regular reports to track effectiveness of all marketing initiatives



  • Recruit, develop and inspire the Marketing team to support the growth of the organization
  • Improve marketing processes, programs and infrastructure



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field, MBA a plus
  • 8+ years in a marketing role with increasing responsibilities
  • 4+ years of experience developing B2B marketing strategies and programs
  • Demonstrated track record of building marketing strategies, tactics and plans to drive sales
  • Experience working with marketing automation and CRM tools (preferably
  • Good balance of creativity, operational results and data-driven decision-making
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Home furnishings industry experience a plus
