The Purchasing Analyst is a high visibility role that will provide the right candidate with ample opportunity to learn and grow in their career. This person will help to ensure product availability and minimize inventory exposure by creating accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, statistical projections and market trends. They will use analytical expertise to optimize inventory levels and improve the overall forecasting process to meet the company’s strategic and financial objectives. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded business professional with refined quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels at the category, product, and SKU levels to maximize inventory turnover and optimize cash flow, while meeting customer demand
  • Ensure that customer and company fill rate standards are met by quickly identifying and reacting to potential stock-outs
  • Utilize ERP system and inventory management software to manage forecasts and generate recommended orders
  • Measure forecast accuracy and implement best practices to continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach
  • Conduct root cause analysis to improve processes
  • Develop KPIs using analytical findings to track performance
  • Run ad-hoc analyses to support product development, sales, finance, and operations departments

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn quickly and flexibility to adapt to changing processes and responsibilities
  • Problem solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with quick turnarounds
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
  • Strong computer skills (MS Excel); experience building and presenting reports
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as a team leader
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Willing to work on-site at our corporate office in White, GA - Ask me about our vanpool with stops in downtown Atlanta and Buckhead!

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a high growth, rapidly changing work environment
  • Professional experience in a forecasting, supply chain, demand planning or highly analytical role
  • Sound understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting principles and techniques
  • Experience with ERP and inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of SQL
