POSITION OVERVIEW

Surya is looking for a diligent and organized Administrative Assistant to support our growing team. Ideal candidates will have experience in an administrative support role and have the ability to handle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.  This position requires a great deal of enthusiasm, a team player that’s able to juggle competing demands on his/her time and a self-starter that will do what it takes to support the department’s success. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to:  answering phones, mail sort and distribution, copying, and stocking of office supplies
  • Assist with the coordination and booking of company travel within guidelines
  • Data entry and document proofing
  • Assist in special events and projects as needed
  • Manage and maintain electronic files
  • Support Senior Administrator in requested tasks

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in an office setting with clerical or administrative duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive follow through on tasks to completion, with the ability to adjust to changes and interruptions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment and deal with competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines
  • Team player with a positive attitude that’s willing to take initiative and go the extra mile to support his/her team
